Use measurements rather than age alone
Children of the same age can need different fits, and size labels can vary between references. Record the child’s height and the flat chest width and shoulder-to-hem length of a comfortable shirt. Compare these with the actual garment measurements supplied for your chosen kit.
Keep width and circumference distinct
Lay the reference shirt flat and measure from one armpit to the other without stretching it. Label this number as flat chest width in centimetres, not body chest circumference. Explain if you want extra room for a layer or growth; ask which available size matches that preference instead of automatically choosing one size larger.
Check shorts and other pictured pieces
Our children’s football kits include a shirt, shorts and socks. For shorts, compare the waistband measured relaxed and the overall length with a comfortable pair. Ask about the actual set contents and whether separate sizes are possible; do not assume every photographed accessory is included.

Compare both the shirt and shorts with clothes the child already wears comfortably. Age and height help describe the request, but garment measurements and included pieces determine the comparison.
